West Palm Beach is about 25 minutes south of us down I-95, and it has some of the most interesting houses we get to work on. The historic districts are the reason.
Flamingo Park, El Cid and Old Northwood are full of homes from the 1920s Florida boom: Mediterranean Revival and Mission style houses with barrel tile, stucco, arched windows and deep overhangs. Northwood Village and the streets around Clematis Street mix restored bungalows with newer infill, and to the west, neighborhoods out toward the Turnpike are mostly newer block homes with tile or shingle roofs.
On the historic homes, the gutter has to respect the architecture. That often means copper, or an aluminum color chosen to disappear against the trim, with downspouts routed along corners and columns. Many of these homes also have original wood fascia that needs repair before any gutter goes back on.

Old houses, careful work
A 1920s house has had a century of paint, patching and owners. We take old gutters down carefully, check the fascia behind them and replace what has rotted, so the new system is fastened to solid wood and the roofline looks right for the age of the house.
Jim did a great job, at a fair price. My OLD gutters needed to be replaced badly. I didn't need to take a day off of work...he did all the work , then texted me pics of the finished job.
