Most gutter trouble shows up in a downpour: a corner that drips onto the walkway, a run that overflows at the same spot every storm, water sheeting off the roof and right over the gutter. Before anything gets replaced, we look at the whole system and figure out what is actually causing it.
We work on gutters we installed and gutters we did not. If the run is sound and the trouble is a corner, a few hangers or the pitch, we repair it. If it is old sectional gutter with tired seams along its whole length, patching every joint means paying twice, and you will hear that from us plainly with both options priced.
Call us before the roofers start. We can take the gutters down ahead of the roof work and come back to hang them, or new seamless runs, once the roof is finished. It keeps your gutters from being bent or thrown in a dumpster, and it means one company is responsible for how they go back up.
A gutter that has been leaking for years usually takes the fascia board with it. When the wood behind a run is soft, we show you, replace the bad section and hang the gutter on solid wood. More on that on our fascia and soffit page.
Prior to getting our roof replaced, we obtained estimates from gutter companies to remove existing gutters and to come back and replace following the roof replacement.
